Biographical Sketch:
I obtained my PhD in 2003 at the Radboud University Nijmegen and worked there as an Assistant Professor until August 2005. Then, I worked for exactly 1 year as Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam. Now, I'm back in good old Nijmegen.  In 2003 I received a 'Veni'grant, and in 2004, I won the SESP Dissertation Award.

In Nijmegen I initiated work on social imitation and started built a laboratory devoted to that. Regarding teaching, I introduced Advertising Psychology and The Psychology of Influence  to the Nijmegen and Amsterdam students.

My passions are football & fashion.
Research Interests:
Social Neuroscience of interpersonal behavior, Nonconscious processes, Social Influence and Consumer behavior.
